Luca de Bei en

Director and Screenwriter

He is a playwright, actor, theater director, film and television author. He is a graduate of the acting school of the Teatro Stabile of Genoa.
As a playwright he writes about 30 plays, almost all of which have been performed in Italy and abroad. In 2001 he won the Premio Flaiano. In 2002 he won the European Prize for Dramaturgy at the
Heidelberg Festival, in 2010 the Golden Grail Prize for Directing, and in 2011 the Le Maschere del Teatro Prize as best Italian new playwright.
As a television drama scriptwriter he works for Endemol Italia writing in ten years more than four hundred episodes.
As a film screenwriter he trained working on projects with Suso Cecchi D’Amico, Mario Monicelli, Dino Risi, Bernardino Zapponi, Peter Del Monte, and Gabriele Lavia. In recent years he signed the films:

presented in competition at the Berlin Film Festival (2022); Winner of the Solinas Prize for Screenplay and Best Screenplay Prize at the Ortigia Festival
“L’invenzione della neve” (screenplay) directed by Vittorio Moroni, produced by 50N with the support of Apulia Film Commission (forthcoming) (2023)
“Audrey La Mer” (subject and screenplay) directed by Sebastiano Riso produced by Indiana Production with the participation of Rai Cinema (forthcoming)
