Mauro Caporiccio was born in Fondi (Lt) in 1963.
He began his activity as screenwriter in 2004, with the Rai Uno miniseries, produced by Rai Fiction, “Al di là delle frontiere,” directed by M. Zaccaro, with Sabrina Ferilli.
For Rai Fiction he has written subjects and screenplays for several highly successful titles:
“Il figlio della Luna” (2007), directed by G.Albano, with Lunetta Savino – Best film and screenplay award at the Shanghai and Monte Carlo TV fiction festivals;
“La farfalla granata” (2013), directed by P.Poeti with Alessandro Roja; “Mister Ignis” (2014) – directed by L. Manuzzi with Massimo Dapporto;
“I nostri figli” (2018) – directed by A. Porporati with Vanessa Incontrada;
“Sorelle per sempre” (2021), directed by A.Porporati with Donatella Finocchiaro.
For cinema he created subject and screenplay for the film “Ero in guerra ma non lo sapevo” (2022), directed by F. Resinaro with Francesco Montanari. Since 2000 he has also been working as a television author. He has collaborated on RAI programs such as “La vita in diretta”, “1Mattina”, “Enigma”, “Il processo del lunedì”, “La Grande Storia”, “Cose nostre”, “Frontiere”, “Fuori luogo”, “Città Segrete”.
Since 2018, he has been an author and consultant for RaiPlay Management. Since 2022 he has been the author of “Oggi è un altro giorno.” He has also written two novels, from true stories that also
inspired films of the same name: “Il figlio della Luna” (2007 – Il Saggiatore), and “Sorelle per sempre” (2021 – Rizzoli).
